Brain Zaps From Zoloft Withdrawal
I can't even begin to explain how nice it is to read this page.
I am actually an alternative care physician and just came off Zoloft. The zaps were driving me nuts. I kept trying to explain it to friends that I could "hear my eyes move", which of course makes me sound insane.
The weight gain was also an issue for me. No matter how much I was eating correctly or exercising I saw still gaining, which would lead to a sprial of getting upset...and lo and behold...the dose would be upped. It was a vicious cycle.
Thankfully, while the w/d sympts are terrible, apparently mine are all in line with what other people go through. It's been 9 days and counting.
Still holding out, although, admittedly, I did have thoughts of going back on a minimal dose to make the zaps go away and to avoid divorce...looks like we'll muddle through.
Thanks!
