Depression vs Anxiety

Depression vs Anxiety

Your comments on depression and medication are very well thought out.

5 years ago I needed Zolft because I was having panic attacks and dragging my husband to the emergency room several times a week thinking I couldn't breate.

This happened after a severe allergic reaction that really did swell my larynix and cut off my voice and breath. So it was a type of post-traumatic stress.

I ended up on Zoloft for panic disorder which was probably appropriate, but over the years my Dr. has started writing depression as my diagnosis instead of anxiety.

I have had one real depressive spell and that involved just what you say...a true lack of joy or color in life and thoughts that life really wasn't that great anyway.

I have not felt that wasy since and I kind of resented the diagnosis change from panic to depression for no real reason.

Best wishes,

Rita
