Effexor Help With Weight Loss


Does effexor really help with weight loss?

Many people (20 - 30%) report losing weight when they first start taking effexor; but many more people start gaining weight within a few months of taking it - sometimes within a few weeks of beginning effexor.

It's rare to lose weight over time while taking effexor. It's much more common to gain weight. Sometimes substantial amounts.

Depending upon who you listen to - about one third of patients taking effexor gain weight.

The absolute most important action you can take for the effexor weight gain is to start drinking more water.

I know, you've heard that since you were a kid.

So why not give it a try? The real question to ask is: why aren't you already doing it?



It sounds so simple; almost too simple. Maybe we have a hard time believing something so simple can really make such a difference.

I'd suggest just trying it for two weeks. Get into the habit. Make the effort.

If you weigh 100 pounds; drink 50 ounces of water per day. If you weigh 150 pounds; drink 75 ounces. If you weigh 200 pounds; drink 100 ounces per day. You may have to work your way up to that amount if you're not used to it.

The second most important thing to do to help with the effexor weight loss is to take fish oil capsules and Vitamin E capsules and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) capsules. Again, a rather simple solution.

All three nutritional supplements are readily available in health food stores.

Simply drinking more water and taking these three supplements can go a long way to helping with weight loss - due to effexor or no matter how you gained the weight.

Diet and exercise are not enough when you're taking effexor!

In addition to reading about effexor and weight loss, it's also important to understand the underlying causes that would lead someone to need such information in the first place.
