Husband and I have been married almost 30 years. Husband is 52 and has said to me, numerous times, that his time left is short and he is just trying to get through each day.

Husband's pdoc put him on quite the "medley" of prescription approx. 4 years ago .. and he believes there are his only option. I believe that these medications have completely changed him. He is on Effexor 450mgs, Mirapex 1mg, Provigil 200mgs and now Campral (to try to curb the drinking!)

I can't determine if it is the Mirapex or Effexor .. or the combo of both that has messed him up so badly. He has become an alcoholic, spends large amounts of money to fund his drinking and has pretty much decided that he can't work any more. Claims that he can't focus or remember anything. He also comes across as pretty impulsive .. on many different occasions.

Neither husband or his pdoc will listen to me when I try to relay to them what I see has gone on. It is very frustrating/overwhelming for me.

I sure wish husband could/would read your site.
