Effexor Tragedy
Effexor Tragedy
After so many different ssi's, I found myself on effexor and welbutrin. Side effects were becoming more and more of an issue, worse than the original diagnosis of depression- but effexor was the last stop on the bus for me.
I cut back, was supposed to start on serafem, felt lousy with that too, then went cold turkey because I just wanted to get this garbage out of my system once and for all.
It was like withdrawal from heroin. I am a small business owner and cannot take a day off. I have a physical job as well and can't just sit down when I feel like it.
Brain zaps, migraines, nausea, heartburn, violent mood swings, wild nightmares, exhaustion, crying for no reason- well maybe the fact that I felt sorry for myself.
I have been off of everything now for about a month. Doing much better. Still some gastrointestinal issues going on, but I am functioning at least.
I thought everyone on these bulletin boards was just whining when I first started this process, but I now know otherwise.
It is a horrific experience and frankly, I'd rather just be depressed sometimes.
