You're Irresponsible

"I think you are completely irresponsible for suggesting that medication is unnecessary to treat anxiety disorders."

If they are a chemical disorder, which is caused by an unbalance of Serotonin in ones brain and the nueron receptors "firing" incorrectly, then it is very important to be treated correctly.

I agree that Paxil is quite awful and I can attest that the withdrawl side-effects are atrocious, but there are plenty of other SSRIs that treat anxiety safely and effectively.

It is fine to suggest additional methods to helping with this chemical imbalance but the truth is that, in the situation that a doctor as diagnosed a true chemical imbalance, an SSRI may be the only effective way to treat that person.

Please do not discourage people from seeking the help they need to get better.
