Paxil Problems

"My son used cocaine for many years as well as other drugs."

To get off of them his doctor prescribed paxil.

After two years of being on it my son decided to go cold turkey. Well all the questions on the simple test can be answered by him.

But I can't get it through to him that his anger which is by far the worst I have ever seen from my son - he can't seem to understand it's because of the paxil he took and then decided to go cold turkey.

Why are these drugs out there? I can't understand a doctor prescribing paxil for my son and I feel angry as well as very scared for him.

He has 3 children and I see his marriage slowing slipping away as he is just not himself anymore. Any suggestions? it really worrys me that my 36 year old son will do something to harm himself now.
