"Just came off Effexor for the 3rd time in my life, and never again if I have a say."

My current shrink is a good guy, knows all about the withdrawal effects, and gave me a trick. When I reached the lowest Effexor dose before finishing, he gave me an equivalent dose of Prozac to take for a couple of weeks.

I did have the usual horrible effects that we've all documented so well, but only for 3 days, compared to 2+ weeks in the past.

So I'd say the Prozac did help. I hope this might help someone else.

And hurrah for being off Effexor!
