Zoloft Withdrawal

Zoloft Withdrawal

I am suffering from Zolft withdrawal.

Because of sites like this one, I am not depressed or panicked about it because I understand what is going on.

I am pretty much experiencing everything except suidcidal thoughts. I thought I had the flu because of the nausea and sudden onset joint aches and pains. I do have the zaps and zipps in my head when I turn my head or just move by eyes without moving my head.

I also lose my balance and can't find the words I need when I'm talking. I am having night sweats. I am also so tired at about 9 o'clock at night I fall asleep in my chair like an elderly person.

The nauseous feeling I think are related to the constant 1 or 2 second dizzy zaps that are occuring in my head.

I have been off Zoloft for 7 days now and I understand I may have another couple of weeks to go. Some ofthe good things are that my panic and obsessive swallowing has not returned and to me that means I don't need to be on the drug any more and am correct in enduring the inevitable withdrawal symptoms.

Thanks for the information. It really helps

(Update)

I was looking up information on Zolft withdrawal to explain the zzzt feelings I am having 7 days after stopping Zoloft abruptly when I found the information that Zoloft may encourage the need for alcohol. I

've been on Zoloft for 5 years and in the last couple of years have thought that I might need to join AA because I looked forward and seemed to need a couple of drinks everynight.

It was looking like Weightwatchers wasn't enough and that AA might be in my future too. Alcoholism certainly runs in my family. I wonder if the craving for alcohol will lessen as I endure the withdrawal symptoms.

I'll keep you posted on my experience but would not mind knowing if others found their desire,...no need for alcohol lessened as they got the Zoloft out of their system.

Best wishes and thanks for this informative site.
